Amateur (HAM) Radio Operators Needed As Net Control Station (NCS) / Two-Way Radio Communication Dispatchers.

Farmington Dew Days – Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 15, 2019

Burnsville Fire Muster – Friday Sept. 6 & Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019

 

We are looking for volunteer; Current/Former 9-1-1 Dispatchers and Amateur (HAM) Radio Operators to act as radio dispatchers during some large community events.

This would be very similar to Net Control Station (NCS) operations.

Description:

* This can be a slow or fast paced position depending on the time of day or during public educational demonstrations.
* You would be working in front of the public so they could observe communications.
* Using Two-Way radio communications system.
* Using ‘Paging’ tone encoder.
* Dispatching of priority and non-priority communications.
* Communicating with field units via radio.
* Communicating on telephone/s.
* Entering and retrieving information on laptop computer’s.
