The TCFMC Annual membership picnic gets under way as the grills get heated up and chefs Bellows and Torney serve of the good food at 6PM at Brookview Park in Golden Valley Tuesday, August 5. Brookview is at the intersection of Hwy 55 and Winnetka in Golden Valley just south of 55 in the Large Shelter. Be sure to get there early! If you are not a member you can join at the picnic,. Some folks still call them "reflectors", most now just call them mailing lists. Whatever you call them, you should know that we've got three of them! Take a look at http://lists.duonet.net/ and check out (and subscribe to!) the TCFMC, TCFMC-Announce and TCFMC-Contest mailing lists.

Echolink and the 146.76 repeater.

View my blog for a bit more in depth information. Early this afternoon the 146.76 repeater was modified to allow touch tone events to be sent through th repeater to the repeater output. This was needed in order to tell the EchoLink system to setup, or tear down connections by users with touch tone capable radios.

Not everything is completely worked out yet. However for the most part you should be able to connect to users, links, and conferences online. I'm checking into adding Repeater connectivity.

New Feature: email forwarding!

Now you can have yourcall@tcfmc.org email forwarded to your own email address!

Once you are logged in, click My Account, click the Edit tab, then the Details sub-tab. Make sure you enter your correct callsign and then click the "Forward email" checkbox. After you click submit, you'll be registered for mail forwarding.

Once you turn this on, email sent to yourcall@tcfmc.org will be forwarded to the email address you currently have assigned to your tcfmc.org account. To change where the email is forwarded, just change the email address for your account.

A seperate process on the mail server checks the user database every 10 minutes for changes. To turn this feature off, just re-visit the page and uncheck the checkbox, then click Submit.
