We are a multi op so can have 2 radios on different bands with 1 xmited signal on the air at a time.
So in theory we would have station 1 be the run station (on 1 frequency calling cq) and station 2 being the Search and pounce for multipliers station. ( just like it sounds) Whe4n the S&P station finds a new 1 they ask the run station to stand by a second ( not too long to lose the frequency)
So as you can see we can fit in more than 2 per shift.
73 all and Thanx

SS Contest Strategy - Ways to improve your score

* This is a sideband contest, everyone can participate! Try to operate if even for a short period of time. Team Hennepin could use the points!
* Run Assisted - Use the packet cluster and click on the spots.
* If you have a Low Score get on Sunday - Call CQ as you will be Rare Meat
* Spot all theTeam Hennepin stations you hear calling CQ
* If there is a huge pile-up, move on and check back later. If it is a rare mult don't forget where they are located. Write it down so you can remember.
* Go for mults in all cases. You need to watch the packet cluster window. Most stations spotting will put the 2 digit state or provinces in the Comment Field. Don't miss that as the rare mults like ND, SD, MT, NT and MB will be spotted that way. Especially on Sunday.
* Run power if you have it. It will help you bust the pile-ups and hold a run frequency.
* Watch the spots. If there are a lot of spots on a certain band and not yours it might be time to move.
* Good bands for this contest are 20, 40 and 80m. Last year 160 was good for close mults as 80m was noisy and went long. This is not normally the case as 40 and 80 tend to be the best band. Make sure you operate as much as you can on those bands.
* Daytime use 20m and 40m with 80m starting at dusk. If 80m is noisy and 40m is long early, don't forget to check both 80m and 40m around 10pm to midnight as often they quiet down and improve. Since this contest is over Sunday you only have tonight for those nighttime bands. Don't miss it.
